Butterflies

I'd rather learn from one bird how to sing than to teach ten thousands stars how not to dance.

Just phase out, breathe in, wear sandals, and pretend it's a fine world.

It is not sacrifice if you love what you're doing.

The unreal is more powerful than the real.

I've been thinking a lot lately about taking chances and how that's really just about overcoming your fears.

A piece of lovin' your face that bathed me in regret and you drove me to places i'll never forget.

Breakable

"Have you ever thought about what protects our hearts? Just a cage of rib bones and other various parts."

"So it's fairly simple to cut right through the mess and to stop the muscles that makes us confess."

Secrets don’t exist. At least, for one of us. You needed to share everything, with everyone, and didn’t understand that we would have been happier to keep us between us. Everyone needs a secret. If anyone ever wants, needs, feels compelled to find me, they won’t know where to go. I’ll be meandering through the streets of New York two years ago. And my secret has vanished. I challenged you. I dared you to be yourself, create secrets with yourself, to unlock your puzzle. I’d like to think I helped you dream, helped you find the place where you need to run, helped you find yourself. But who am I to try to change your life when the exact point was for you to find your own way? Continue on, and never reach the end.

"We are so fragile and our cracking bones make noise and we are just breakable breakable breakable girls and boys."

This Love

River sweep away my memories of
children’s things a young mother’s love.
Before the yearning song of flesh on flesh
young hearts burst open wounds bleed fresh

-Werewolf

You left me broke down beggin for change

Blah Blah Blah

Zip your lips like a padlock
And meet me in the back
With the jack and the jukebox

I'm in love with this song
So just hush, baby, shut up

So cut to the chase kid
'Cause I know you don't care what my middle name is

Grow Up, Move On Out

Look not mournfully into the past. It comes not back again.
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

“I know I need to let you grow up and let go, but can I see you one last time”

Let Your Loneliness Escape You One Day At A Time

One Sweet Love

It’s a dream, that I can tell. You whisper in my ear that it’s all going to be fine, my body shakes lightly, and my eyes crinkle open. Like an opening book, the pages of memories flutter past in my mind. I awaken everyday now dealing with it; the harsh and overbearing realization that it’s all gone, you’re gone, and arguably, I am too. I futilely wish for you everyday to revive me and bring me back to life when it was my responsibility to do the same for you. I’m bare and have stripped myself of me; I thought everyone wanted it that way. All that’s left are pages and pages of memories, your white shoes, my yellow sweater, and the stains you left living in my soul.

"Oceanward And Somber, Slumber Sleeping
Flowers in the Water,
But I’m Just His daughter"
